digital art

An Item from futurist toys I really liked : a locomotive. I found this old picture, featuring a model used in Futurist Toys: "The Locomotive" (intended as the pilot of the train), it seems to me almost more interesting, extrapolated from the video and its natural context. Man and Machine, using the same geometry and geometric strength.

Here there is the poster commissioned by a festival , In Korea.

It was composed creating several 3d models, and combining them together .

I believe it given an innovative image to the festival…

At least, I think so, but it was very funny to make it!

I Also included the first version of the poster.. for sure more “messy”, in terms of graphic design, but much more expressive and close to the complexity of futurist art..

A digital painting about a popular art exhibition in Grosseto (Tuscany, Italy, my city, or big town) Called “Primavera Maremmana), held by mostly “Sunday painters”: artists that are not necessarily earning their living by their “Art”, and they’re not even trying to.

What moves them, is mostly the passion for art, and for the beautiful landscapes that surround them.

Please don’t take me wrong.

I love the look of Italian historical Cities.

Is what foreign mostly love about my Country.

It’s just that as an artist, and designer, sometimes is a bit frustrating having to deal with historical building, historical venues, thinking about “harmony” with the surrounding environment.

That’s why, on this piece, I’m inviting my friend Godzilla to visit me in Florence.

Unfortunately, in real life, I don’t have his telephone number, so, I Guess, I will have to keep this as a fantasy.

I'm from a country where people are indeed quite superstitious.

Most of the time it is funny. Sometimes less.

But whatever, I just found this old picture I made, so I'm happy to publish and share with the world. I think that it will bring me luck.

Growing older, I realized that sometimes the beliefs, legends, superstitions have some element of truth, and should be regarded with respect.

Despite I've been a REAL professor at Universities and art academy, I think that often the educational system is more focused about making money on students hopes, than guarantying them a real future...

That's why, several years ago, I wrote this short ironical piece about an hypothetical Master Class called "creative mines" .

It's sounds almost too real to be a joke :

Have You ever been embarrassed when someone asks you: hey You, what is your job? I mean, how do You get a living? Are you not tired to respond: "well, I make things, I see people?"

A "grotesque" but debonaire "fresco" of an italian tradition (developed specially in small citys) : "LO STRUSCIO" (ispired by GROTZ artworks). It means that nearly everybody , young and old people goes taking a walk IN THE SAME ancien main street, everybody around the same time (late saturday afternoon, around 5-6 o' clock) , Usually hoping to meet someone... That means that is gonna be hard walking in that street for tourists! Since the paint is pretty large (135x170 cm) I published also a few pictures with details.

The term was created around 1960, indicating the introduction of electronic technologies in the arts forms of the period.

We clearly talk in this case , about television, the beginnings of Internet scene, computers, primitive technology for virtual reality, robotics, video and audio recording technologies, and wearable technologies.

One of the most interesting features that sets it apart is the multidisciplinary allowed by electronic media: often merging with music, or other art forms, visual, acoustic or theatrical type.
